First off, congratulations on your wise decision to use retinol-- it's one of the best things you'll ever do for your skin! Before we get to how to use it, be sure to always apply retinol at night as sunlight "deactivates" it.
To begin using, apply sparingly to clean skin on the face and neck, avoiding eye areas. Start by using it just once or twice a week. Then slowly increase usage to every other night. Once tolerated, use nightly.
When using retinol (especially in the beginning), getting a little irritation and even peeling is completely normal. If the irritation is uncomfortable, just reduce how often you use it until your skin adjusts. For best results, be sure to follow-up with our Vitamin Boost Moisturizer.
Also keep in mind you may want to use sunscreen during the day whenever you're using retinol. It can definitely increase your skin's sensitivity to sunlight!
